what does the XP mean?
is it PC2-8500?
is it 2gbX2? or dual channel? nothing is mentioned on the site :/
And will it be MUCH better than the OCZ reapers? because its in another store and I'd prefer 2go with the reapers but if the mushkins are better for oc so I think i'll go with the mushk!N$.
Micron D9 GMH and GKX (the good OCing ICs) are no longer in production and not available in very many sticks now. The Micron high density ICs used in 2x2GB sticks, don't OC very well. Most of the high-end kits now use Powerchips including all of the kits we've talked about on this thread. The only differences are heat spreaders and binning.
The Reapers and Mushkin XPs (Xtreme Performance) are very similar. If there is a big price difference, get the Reapers (although I prefer the Mushkins). Both are made for dual channel mobos.
PC 6400 are 800 MHz
PC 8500 are 1066 MHz
The 1066 are better for OCing.
