Well a powersupply CAN stress and blow, but you cant really protect yourself from that, if it blows then it blows it's like anything else, if you're really worried about it then sell your 520 and get yourself a 600 since they have dual 12v rails but i wouldnt worry about it personally, I saw a review where a guy used my modstream 520watt for SLI 6800GT's and i only have 28A so it's fine.

I read an article, these people were testing a no-name 250W power supply, it still ran with 4 CD-ROM drives, 3 HDDs, some sound cards, and a bunch of other junk. Then it crashed but no infamous white smoke or silicon smell.

ya modern power supplies will just shut off (hopefully ). these new power supplies have all kinds of protection integrated into them in case something goes wrong

i don't get it? i got a 250W (backup).. it works fine.. i got 2 cd roms. 6 case fans. 2 HDD. pluged in... and i still can overclock and rase up my core and all stuff like that... 1.8GHZ to 2.4GHZ - 2.5GHZ.. i got my apg to 1.6 , my ram is the same V. but this noname is a really good power supply

As you can see My PSU is not strong enough for my PC. When I boot a demanding Game my computer sometimes just reboots, could this be related to the PSU?????

could be- the 12v amps on that power supply are pretty horrible
