It's very likely it exhausts to the back. The easy way to check is to look at the card, and see where the fan is. If the fan is at the lowest end (when mounted) and has a nice shroud like the stock card and blows air all the way through, it's the recommended type.

Yeah, that's an external exhaust. See how there's a small grill between the top of the bracket and the DVI port?

As for "lowest end" I think Allikat meant the "furthest from the PCI bracket" vs the "center of the card" which usually doesn't equate to an external exhaust but an internal spreaddage [why isn't this a word?!] of heat.

Short version, your card is perfectly set up for the FT02

I don't think internal or external exhaust really matters for the FT02 or RV02. I've seen many people say they don't notice any temp changes between card types. The case has such high airflow that any air exhausted internally would be removed from the case in a matter of seconds anyways.

The internal exhausting cards usually have superior cooling and run quieter. But paying attention to the heatpipe orientation is important in 90 degree cases. Heatpipes don't like to fight gravity.

Thoughts and opinions? I hope to be an owner soon!
Silverstone sells the exact same foam they apply to the FT02.

I purchased this and covered many additional surfaces in my FT02 with it. I covered the side of the hard drive bay, the back sides of my 5.25 inch bay covers, the bare metal at the top of the case etc. It perfectly matches the foam that already came with the FT02 and looks like it came with the case.

The 6950/70 all are external exhaust but if you notice, there is a small notch near the rear of the graphics that does allow for a bit of internal exhaust. It's pretty minute so it shouldn't really matter. I'm running two internal exhaust gtx 460's right now and the one that's on top runs easily into the 70s while just playing Starcraft II at roughly 60% fan speed. And thanks for the notice on the AP181s. Just wondering if they're worth picking up just got my video cards.

I had two hd 5970 in my case, i had to buy a longer crossfire bridge and put the cards in pcie slot 1 and 3 because they smothered each and where running at 90degresss, but after i split them they ran at normal temps. I guess the bottom card could not get air so it was overheating then heating up the top card. the pic is of my old setup before i moved them away from each other

Hey is there anywhere to find replacement 3.5" bay covers that are vent for the rv01, im thinking bout mounting a high airflow fan in there as an intake or will that idea screw up the air flow in my case?

Guess having the external exhaust type squished together doesn't help too much with the temps. Thought it might be better since the fan doesn't draw in air straight off the back of the other card. Wish I could run my video cards in the 3rd pci-e slot but it only runs at x4 which blows. Should've spent a bit more for the p6x58d-e just so I don't have to hear my video cards rev up like crazy.
