If you like the BTX style mother board mount yo can get a few cases in that series and do that even the tj-07 has been flipped over in some cases for ether ATX or BTX (if I am mistaken on the BTX being the upside down please let me know lol) But as I was saying those are very good cooling cases for air or water
But the TJ07 and TJ11 are ridiculously expensive. So the only way i'd get one is if im going all out water cooling. They arent great for air cooling when you consider their price. The FT02 and RV02 are only 1*C hotter than a TJ11.

I wish they would make a slightly larger version of the FT01 mid tower and make the top and front fans 2 120mm. Would be an awesome case for a mid tower water.

I'm looking into upgrading my CM690 to a RV02, but I'm curious about how the top of the case is held on. Is it with cheap plastic taps, or something else? How tough would it be to mod with little magnets or velcro? I ask, as I have a weekly LAN party I go to, and I'm concerned about how the top will hold up to that weekly wear.

The top is hard plastic tabs that fit into springy clips in the top of the case. It's very resilient, I'm tough on cases and I've not even lost one tab despite the top being regularly removed.

It's a very heavy case. I would not recommend it if you take it to lans a lot.

I've removed the tabs on my FT02; the lid still fits perfectly, but it doesn't make an almighty *CLACK* sound every thime I need to remove it smile.gif

But it's not a case I'd take to a LAN. BIIIIG case, more of an installation than a mere case biggrin.gif

The white LEDs in the case don't look very white in the pictures for some reason. I also hid the GPU cables a lot better since the last picture, but I'm too lazy to take a picture of it unless someone wants to see it.

Thanks for advice! The case is 2 lbs more and 5" longer than my current CM690, so while it is bigger, it's not massive. I only have to carry it to and from the car, so I'm not too worried (perhaps I'll rig up some straps or handles).

I would go with a FT03 instead, but then I'd have to switch to a mATX motherboard and ditch my BluRay burner. Add that to possibly swapping out my GPUs (as the MSI Cyclone's "throw hot air everywhere we can" philosophy isn't ideal), and it becomes a very expensive proposition.

I bought my current CM690 because I was looking to maximize airflow per dollar, but after living with it for a year, I've found the hoover-like noise of the 7 case fans I put into it to be very annoying. It doesn't help that I was stupid and bought LED fans, making it impossible to sleep with it on.

I've lowered its fan's speeds, adjusted the cooling, etc., but the CM690's just not a quiet case. Hence why I'm attracted to the RV02's balance. I know I'm asking a biased group of Silverstone Owners ( tongue.gif ), but what do you think? Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks for your time.

I will be posting more pictures of my TJ-10 case soon I am in the middle of wire job on it and a few mods, for the most part TJ-09 and 10 are about the same but I agree there are not that many and not shur why? They are great for both air and water I guess they just did not catch on as the TJ-07 did. I own one of those as well now but to fr from done to even talk about lol
