Here are a couple of photos of a PC that I have just built for my brother using the popular Silverstone FT02 case. Inside he went for the Asus P67 Pro motherboard, Corsair H80 CPU cooler, Corsair HX850 PSU, 16GB Corsair Vengence memory, SB 2600K CPU, Samsung Blu-ray drive and EVGA GTX 580 3GB graphics card:

Sometimes I wonder if I should have gotten an FT02 instead.

Using black cables for sata would really help. Also, if you want it to be cleaner, you can bend the tabs out where the HDD cage is and turn the cage so that the HDDs are vertical instead of horizontal. That will hide a lot of the sata cables. The other ugly thing I notice is the cpu cooler fan. Try remounting the fan in a way that the cable comes out the side instead of the top.

And lastly, put as many cables as you can behind the motherboard.

Oh thanks this is really nice information. I had no idea I could rearrange the hard drives like you said. I am so going to do that when I get home and I'll look for some black sata's. I have some that came with the motherboard but hate how they snap and lock into place instead of these red ones that come off easily. I'll try both of these tips and take another picture when I am done. For the heatsink though sadly I already tried turning it sideways in both directions and due to the cases design I get about 6c hotter temps so i'm going to have to side on keeping that ugly fan wire as is, might be able to wrap it bellow the motherboard and hide it better though. Thank you so much for the help I really needed it, as you can see in some of the older pictures at one point of time it was a real disaster.
