The Official Silverstone Case Owners Club - Page 246

Oh crap just realized how ugly that second picture is with my ancient desk and globs of dust. Sorry not a respectable looking picture. Oh this looks so funny the only place it sucks air up is the only place I don't clean and let the dust acumulate. What a slob, but I can't complain, I might abuse this case, but the case never shows it. It just keeps on chugging, still gives me those awesome temps just wash those filters one a couple months, sometimes even less often and I never see the temps ever rise or dust ever accumulate on the components sometimes on the fans but components are clean just like new. I get huge overclock stability. So this case is perfect for the OCD's and the slobs like me it runs the same no matter how you treat it, such an amazingly respectable, case. My old case used to need so much more maintenance and would gather dust like a magnet. I could swear i found full sized hair balls accumulating on my heatsink with my old case from my cats.

Wow some amazing builds in this thread.

You can add me to the list! Here's my watercooled Fortress 02. I'm planning on adding some UV lighting, any difference between leds and cathodes?

great build with that sr1, fits perfectly

To get super clean setup, you could try to use res+pump combo in 5,25 bay, and connect gpu block and cpu in parallel (via gpu block), it looks very clean, just two tubes connect everything.

Hey...I was wondering if the swappable hard drive bay is removable. I want to mod a fan controller or memory card reader in that section. I might go SLI so I cannot use the PCI slot fan controllers.

I'd expect that the bay would need some modding to remove. The hot swap cabling and fittings should be reasonably easy to remove.

MrQUake: Great looking build there. Re: Lighting. LEDs are way neater, but if you want UV then I've found the cathodes better for that.

Yes the swappable hard drive bay is pretty easy to remove. There's 11 rivets to pop. That does require you to unscrew the U-shaped structure from the case itself.
Here's a thread with a more detailed description:

For sure. Might not be as awesome looking as some of the ones on this thread, but it should still be good!
