Do EATX boards fit in the FT02? I am really interested in getting this case because I move my computer around a lot and the haf x is just to big.

I am also planning on upgrading to an x79 platform and getting a Rampage IV Extreme which is EATX. Would an eatx board like that fit in this case? Does anybody have any pictures showing how much room there would be if I installed that eatx board into this case?

Thanks thumb.gif

Some FT02s already ship with USB3.0 though, so it's not anything new. frown.gif

It will not fit an actual EATX board. But it will fit a R4E, as it really isn't EATX. It is somewhere in between the two.

Also, is there enough room in the back for a thick 24pin? I'm probably going to sleeve my cables soon so the cable wont be as thick but until then is there enough to fit a 24pin behind the motherboard tray without the back panel bulging out?
There's sufficient room behind the motherboard tray to route the 24 pin cable back there without creating any bulges in the back panel. In fact if you Google pics of the FT02 you will see there is a raised section near the bottom left which you can use to secure the 24 pin cable, as there are numerous tie down point for zip ties. When I had my FT02 I also used the self-adhesive pads which had holes for zip ties.

Although the actual gap between the motherboard tray and the side panel isn't huge, it is spread out over a wide area, which means that with some care and planning a very neat cable management set-up is achievable. I had three attempts at mine before I was satisfied with it.

There really is a ton of room behind the motherboard tray.
