the accelero extreme plus 2 will perform worse then the twin frozer in a RV02 due to the heatpipe orientation. if you look at the pipes

when it's mounted vertically, the heat pipes will drain the liquid all the way to the bottom of the pipe. there is no way the liquid can climb that much vertical distance regardless of the type of wick they have in those pipes.

the twin frozer should not perform that poorly in your rig. so the question is as .themetal asked, just how hot is the card getting?

You can use double sided tape or velcro to mount the fan. It brought my temps down a few degrees on my cards.

shouldn't need it if he has the middle fan on high. granted those AP181's get pretty loud on high, but you really shouldn't expect silence when going SLi smile.gif

I never knew that the heatpipe orientation made so much difference ... I thought that the design of a heatpipe meant it can be mounted any which way ... ... could this be the cause of my heat woes ??
