I have an crazy idea. Try to turn the case and set it like conventional cases with videocards being horizontal. That way you can exclude one variable.
Don't know if you can do that with Ravens, but looking at my FT02 it is possible.

Good point, I'll look into it when I get home. But like I said, It wasn't on the list of things to do. tongue.gif

On the HDD cage, I drilled two holes in the front and two in the back. The two holes on the bottom front 5.25" bay lined up perfectly and used that as my guide for drilling. The back side of the 5.25 bay I drilled two holes after I made sure the HDD cage was leveled. I also used black screws instead of rivets. I can take pictures when I get home. thumb.gif

From checking out a couple of reviews, it seems that the design is a bit different. Can you comment on how you think it'd perform?

This is the 580

And the slightly altered 670

the 580 has 2 vertical pipes going up and 3 vertical pipes going down when mounted vertically. the 2 pipes going up will work. but the 3 pipes going down will not do anything for you as far as cooling.

the 670 has 2 horizontal pipes above the heat source but extends below the heat source. however it does not go too far (less then 2 inchs) below the heat source so the pipe should work. the last horizontal pipe extends too far below the heat source to be of any use.

between the 2. definitely get the 670 since it has a better pipe orientation as well as the correct fin orientation to take advantage of the ap181's

Hi,

Well after reading this and many other threads about the FT02
i decided to get myself one with the window to replace my Cosmos 1000 ,
and i love it , much much better airflow and looks real good , pretty quiet too
I'm still waiting for some cables to arrive then i'm going to finish the cable management.

Here is a couple of pics !

Make sure you didn't miss this post about the type of wicks Asus has been using in their heatpipes. If you don't mind being a Guenna pig then go ahead and get the Asus 670, if it has sintered metal heatpipes then it will be great, but if it has groove heatpipes like I'd expect you'll be disappointed in the temperatures. If you want a sure thing then wait for a MSI TF cooler on the 670.
