Hi!

I just want to share my recent upgrades to my build with you guys! Thar she blows:

While waiting for the first few parts to arrive, I helped a friend build his PC into an all acryllic case:

450

Finally the first few parts started to arrive:

Now I just had to wait for the final "ingredient" to arrive, and I could start taking my PC apart, and rebuild it. In the mean time, I had another friend in need of building a PC:

450

Now my final, and most important part arrived: My DataVac!

700

But I had to wait to rebuild my PC, because an exam was lying in wait. I aced it! Now, friend with the acryllic PC had a friend in need of a new, cheap, gaming PC, so I put a little something together:

450

Finally everything was in place for me to take apart my PC, and build in the new parts:

I got a serious allergic reaction to the dust from the PC, and the pollen in the air, and had no medication for it, so my nose was dripping, face swollen and my head hurt like Hell. That's the only reason why I did not take any photos of the building process. Sorry about that, guys! But here are some photos of how it came out. In the mean time, I rearranged my desk for a couple of Cerwin Vega XLS-6 speakers, which I'll buy come July. It was recently my birthday, and I'm celebrating it for my family on sunday. Also, I took apart my old MyBook 500 Gb. external harddrive, and built it into my PC instead (it was making weird sounds so I thought the board inside the external casing was malfunctioning. Just to my luck, a couple of days later my PC would had a very slow start-up. I proceeded to reset my PC, and when booting up, it forced a disk drive check. Sadly the drive had multiple sectors, which could not be read, and now all data is lost, and the drive doesn't work anymore. I hope to get a new 2 Tb. harddrive this July. Anyway, here's the pictures:

This is how my desk looked before. I made a few rearrangements, and I'll update them as soon as I get my new speakers - Oh, yeah, sorry for the mess:

Hope you liked looking through my pictures! smile.gif

question for anyone here thats modded a RV02/RV02-E

is it possible to mod the bottom to fit a thick 480 rad; specifically the RX480.
If yes; what kind of modding is required? Cutting holes or moving stuff around?
cheers thumb.gif

silverstone case owners, I have questions for you

TJ-09:

- How much space is behind the mobo tray ? Enough for at least an 8-pin ?
- Is it even worth buying one of these anymore ? They're about $220.

TJ-04E:

- How loud are the included fans, particularly the hdd cooling one ?
- How is the paint finish on these ?
- Do you think it's worth the $150'ish, especially considering the other cases in this price range ? (Corsair 650d, plenty of lian li cases, antec p280, etc)
- Worth upgrading to this from my current fractal design r2 ?

I am currently using:
2500k with a thermalright venomous x and 2 gelid fans (120x25mm)
msi p67a-gd65
4x4gb g.skill ripjaw x
xfx 6950 1gb with the gelid icy vision 2 cooler
seasonic x760
ocz vertex 2 80gb
hitachi 7k2000 2tb
fractal design r2

anyone got any more info about the wick/heatpipe problem with non-ref gpus in the ft02? ive seen some stuff here and there about it being problematic, can anyone give me a quick run down on which coolers this doesnt really affect? ive got a reference 6950 and i was thinking of buying a cooler since the noise annoys me (either a twin turbo ii or icey vision) OR buying a sapphire 7850 and getting rid of the 6950 altogether. silverstone recommends reference gpus that exhaust out the back but i figured that was because they didnt want hot air from the non-ref gpus being pushed all around the case rather than pushed straight out the top. thanks duders
