Thanks for your advice!
Now to decide between a RV02 (evolution) and FT02 (window). Is $220 a good price for a FT02-W? The only significant difference between the two is the appearance and price, right? Fortress doesn't have the plastic front and top. I just wish these cases would have grommeted holes for cable managing, especially at their price level.
I'm kinda worried about my 16AWG Monoprice DVI cable... It's very very inflexible, and probably won't fit under the top cover of RV02, unless there's some trick to it. Will I have to get a thinner cable? =/
P.S.: Opinion poll: Silver FT02-window or a White RV02 (LE)?

I haven't seen an RV02 in person but if it has as much room for I/O connections as the RV03 there should be no issues, I was running my monitors off vga cables with dvi adapters and they fit under the top of my RV03 with out any clearance issues at all.

O' and BTW my vote goes for the white RV02, I just love the Raven cases, and the couple of white Ravens I have seen pictures of look amazing! thumb.gif

This could singlehandedly push me toward FT01S-W, although I'm really fond of the idea of keeping my new case to my left (with a window on the right panel). I could do the Kuhler 620 mod to cool the card, but it's extra money I don't want to spend at the moment.

Well i was planning to get an ft02 in 2 months and i have a gtx470 SOC. There is an accelero extreme on it witch i think also has a vapor chamber and i heard that real life temps are great and there is no problems with verticall position. Guy that sold me that SOC gtx470 kept it in a raven 2 while she had the originall windforce x3 cooler on it witch has a vapor chamber for sure. He told me she was cool as ice.

Thanks. At worst, I could eventually mod my card - just doesn't seem worth it at this point, since it's an old generation, and more efficient 600-series and 7000-series are getting cheaper by the month.

IMPORTANT QUESTION

The removible top panel of Raven and Fortress FT02 series is hard to remove ? you must push & pull strongly to remove and replace ?

I'm asking if may break the hooks on the top or ruin the panel if you put and remove many times ? ( it's only in plastic ).

A light tug from the top rear of the panel should pop it open. It doesn't require much strength. You definitely Don't want to rage it open and accidentally break the plastic pins. You'll get the hang of it once you've opened/closed it a few times. I leave mine slightly open, I never fully close it because I like to turn off the LED's in my case when I go to bed.

like mironccr345 said a light tug should pop it right off and same with putting it on a light push should press it back down. I've removed mine probably hundreds of times, and haven't broke the tabs. If your worried, you could just leave it sitting on the top.

Well that really is the thing i am least worried about. My biggest problem now is not beeing able to decide weather i should take ft02 or rv02. Ft02 is a lot more expensive in my country but if i really like it it"s not a problem. Problem is i don"t have an opportunity to see them live beccause then i would easily decide.

See that is a good question, those switches on the top are not accesibile if you don"t remove the top pannel so i hope it"s high quallity and that i won"t have to be afraid of taking it off hundreds of times.
i want to buy the FT02 USB3.0 but i want to keep this case for a long longo long time ( at least 6 years ), so i'm searching a case whit inconsumable components, i was worried for the plastic top.
i think that quallity definitley shouldn"t be a problem with the ft02

your card has a vapor chamber as well as heatpipes. just a reminder that the reference cards only have a vapor chamber and does a decent job at cooling the card so your card should do fine.

as for RV02 vs FT02... there is no question that FT02 is a MUCH better overall case. RV02 is something you buy if you cant afford a FT02 biggrin.gif as far as internal structure, both cases uses the exact same sub frame. however while the RV02 just bolts plastic parts onto the sub frame, the FT02 adds an aluminum uni-body onto the sub frame that adds to the overall quality and structural integrity of the case itself. it's hard to describe, but the overall "feel" of the case changed big times when you see the plastic laden RV02 vs the aluminum unibody FT02...
