ok good point - but I after only using really cheap cases then getting my hands on this one, my mind was blown. I think the case he's looking at will treat him just fine. thumb.gif

I agree that.my only worrie is that they could make a revision of the ft02 just after i buy it since it on the market for 2 years now frown.gif. But if i look at it optimisitc, it"s so good that there is not much they can improve xd.

There have already been revisions : USB 3.0 and better fans. There's also FT04 and RV04 in development, if you want to google them, and they appear to be comparatively unremarkable. Still only prototypes, so anything could change, but FT/RV02 seem best for now, given that information.

Yeah, the black versions on Amazon appear to both have been upgraded to USB 3.0 / better fans, but the silver versions are ambiguous.

Edit: "Your order has been placed." I'm about to become a silver FT02-W owner, if all goes well *crossing fingers*.

Now, where can I find these Lamptron FC9 controllers in silver color... Can only find them in black so far =/

lrgscalep1002307_1312878462_fc0121s_2.jpg

Looks like those weren't available for sale for that long, as I can't find them anymore... model name "FC0121S"
Congrats on the case order! You're going to really appreciate how good a quality case can be now.
The CM HAF's are good cases, but not in the same leagu as many of Silverstone's cases are.

I wanted to mention that I had a Lamptron FC-9, (in black) and I wound up throwing it in the garbage. It came with bent pieces in the back, easy enough to fix. But the sliders would completely shut-off the fans if pulled all the way down. I prefer if my controllers don't completely "kill" the fans.
The kickoff was when one of the sliders broke, causing it to droop and become non-operable.

I replaced it with an NZXT Sentry mesh:
www.nzxt.com/new/products/fan_control/sentry_mesh
The construction of this was perfect, and it has worked flawlessly for several months now.
Only problem for you is that I think it only comes in black.
The front grille panel could be sprayed silver, though!

no, its similar, airflow is not bottom to top but flet to right whit a particular perforated rear panel for positive pressures and a new type of dust filters.
i think will not be better like cooling, certainly little worse but will be most efficient and better for the dust issues.

When i say they are different i am in the first place talking about looks. ft02/rv02 are nicely long but not tall, ft04 looks like a normal case ,you just can"t compare them. It"s like comparing ft02 wit a tj07, it"s a different concept. When i sayed "i am afraid they are gonna make a revision of the ft02" i meant they might make the same case but improved. Just like coolermaster had cm 690 and then they made cm 690 2.
Ft02 is not similar to ft04 in any way.

RV04 and FT04 have reverse mainboard, are not normals.
The RV04/FT04 is basically a ATX versions of the TJ08e. It's nothing like the FT02/RV02. Still interested in how or what the finished product will look like?
