Thread Starter
Apologies for being away a super amount of late guys, spending lots of time at my mum's place while my dad's in hospital (still.. old curmudgeon is being curmudgeonly)

So, while I'm home and actually have a bit of time in hand...

Finally I got my TJ07 the other day and I transferred everything over so its a little bit of a mess right now. I plan on doing the inverted atx mod and water cooling everything because that's what this case is for right. Ive done a little research, but have kinda come up short, does anyone know how to keep the top 120 fans when you do the inverted atx mod. I know you have to cut off most of the bottom part of the support on the tray, but is that it?

Hey Zzorro can you post a pic of the back side so i can see how you ran your cables. I underestimated how hard it was going to be to make it clean looking without cutting stuff up.

Thanks~Baird

recently built ( missing a graphics card)

Okay for those who need to know regarding 90' cases and certain graphics cards not doing well in them a quote from a silverstone on another site the other day:

'The general guideline for heat pipe orientation as outlined in our manual and website is critical for cooling systems that use low cost "groove" heat pipes where gravity will have major effects on performance. But if the cooling system uses high quality "powder" heat pipes, then orientation will have much smaller impact on performance. This explains why many FT02/RV02 users still experience good performance even if their cards are supposedly oriented in less than optimal positions. The few degrees of penalty is easily overcome by FT02/RV02's superior cooling power in relation to many traditional case designs.'

That being said, I wonder if the Windforce 3x 670 is 'powder' ?

Also, is it okay to have my cpu cooler fans both 'pulling' from the 180mm base fans, or is there a more optimal configuration?

powder sintered or not, the heat pipe orientation for the windforce 670 is just wrong for the FT02. so the question is moot.

as far as heatpipe orientation for the 670GTX, the MSI twin frozer is the best choice. it has 5 heatpipes, out of which 4 of the heatpipes are actually useful. the heatpipe furthest away from the heat source is useless in a vertical mount but as silverstone said, the superior cooling power of the FT02/RV02 takes care of that shortcoming.

Got that fitting replaced today, but still working on getting an air bubble our of it... but here are some shots:

Also got a rough cut on my window, though i found out my U-Channel isn't wide enough to fit this case panel, so i have some more coming:
