O_O from the "floor" as in the bottom of the interior of the case right? Not the bottom of that little U shape?

Thats freaking awesome... so I cold get the 3x180mm Rad and stick a phobya fan ontop of it for a total of 60mm.

Gonna look into this some more once the case is in my hands. wee!

thanks!

Got a question for any FT03 owners. Just wondering what colour the hot swap HDD bay LED in the top is? Trying to remember if I changed mine or not. tongue.gif

Here's where i started, a fresh GTX570 Classified RMA.

The new cooling bits:

Removal of the upper fan shroud:

The bare board ready for it's new cooling gear:

The Swifttech unisink installed:

New with the MCW82 and a Coolermaster 80mm cooling fan:

...And the eVGA back plate (i really wish they made a GTX570 Classified back plate):

20121109_195110.jpg

I'm giving the AC5 a couple of days to bake in before i start doing any major temp testing, but i let BOINC run at 100% GPU and 88% CPU last night for 10 hours, and it capped at 60C, idle temps are around 30C.

here is my FT02
two ALC's, so using (UN)Design vertical bracket and 120mm Z2 to mount GPU rad (Arctic) in bays (click on image to enlarge)

better illustration of the bracket... plus also using a slot drive and slimilne ODD as it's not as deep as the standard ODD's, allowing for better exhaust of heat to the top of the case

cable management!

overall setup (before slot drive)

Does anyone here have ASUS GTX670/660 TI DCII card on FT02/RV02 or RV03 case?

Ordered 660ti DCII OC and now bit worried how it will work in FT02 cause of the hetpipes.

it "should" still work, however not very well. the heatpipe orientation of the 660Ti DCII is not ideal for vertical mounting because essentially you have 3 pipes all extending below the heat source when mounted vertically. however 2 of the 3 heatpipes does not extend pass the heat source beyond 2 inches so the wick inside the pipes should still be able to do its job. the 3rd pipe (bottom pipe when mounted vertically) is a lost cause. it extends too far below the heat source to be of any use at all.

it "should" still work because FT02/RV02 is a superior cooling design to begin with. so the superior cooling ability of the case should compensate for the shortcomings of the heatsink. the DCII is not a bad cooler, it's just not ideal for vertical mounting.

Well i can give answer now myself as just received & installed the card earlier today. Im actually quite positively suprised tbh, played some games almost few hours overall and highest temp recorded by afterburner was 66c during BF3 and card remained silent during gaming with auto fan ( well atleast couldnt hear it over FT02 stock fans at low )

Argh, I'm having such a problem deciding upon a graphics card for the FT02. So far I have narrowed it down to either the MSI Twin Frozr or the Sapphire Dual-X but I'm also willing to look into watercooling my CPU and GPU depending on how much money I can spend.
