Perfect thanks. Is the xspc top/res a good top? Also would I still be able to bleed the system if my pump/res was at bottom of
case?

Bleeding still works if it's at the bottom. The xspc red top is
the best performing of all the tops.

I came upon this thread looking for info on Lang DDC tops and have read many reviews over the last year. While it may look like there is a ton of restriction going on and Im sure the design can stand some improvement, But this preview of the Dual version says alot to me. http://www.skinneelabs.com/Pumps/DDC...C_DualDDC.html The tripple may just prove its worth in a system with a restrictive block setup and a tripple SLI or Crossfire setup.

Hey guys, i am designing a custom bay reservoir which will mount 2 ddc's on the back. On the Laing specification it says you should not mount the ddc with the outlet point down, does anyone know why this is and if it really matters?

Does anyone have any pictures of the base of the ddc? I have heard there are threaded holes in the base of it which can be used instead of the tabs at the side.

Can the aftermarket DDC tops be orientated anyway round? Or is there a specific way?

Thanks!

The only reason I could see for not putting the outlet that way is that air may possibly get trapped in the pump where it cannot escape.

I'll snap some pics of the base for you. There are 2 threaded holes 74mm apart (maybe 75 I didn't measure real close)

The tops can be oriented in any way. The base can fit either way.

The base. Note the two holes in the base that do not secure the top. Those are part of the base.

Edit The user manual says that the holes are 2.52'' apart. The outside of the hole lines up with the outside edge of the mounting slot. I'll get you more info on its exact location if you want it.

This slot where the wires come out orient the base in one direction. This is not an issue mounting the pump as the top can mount in any of the 4 positions.

The slots on the motor line up with the base in 1 direction. The center in the circle of the base is not solid. I have a layer of foam on mine.

I can have more pics in an hour or so. If you need any measurements or other pics just ask. The carpet cleaning people are hear so I am on a cleaning frenzy. Damn you computer parts...

These pumps like to be gravity fed but yea that will work fine. They have way more than enough pressure to push through all of those fittings + a loop as well. I do see mounting the pumps directly under the reservoirs to be a best case scenario though. If you put the drive on the bottom filling would be immensely easier.

Also Do want for my rocketfish project. 6 slots if my guestimation is correct. Something like that is exactly what I've been looking for. My 5'' x 5'' x 4'' CNC mill just plain wont fit the piece I would need for a front plate.
