Ok so, I have concluded that this little X800 I have in my computer can handle a lot of stuff. And it has gone from using it because I don't really got the cash for a new GPU to seeing what it can handle (and I still don't got the cash for a new GPU). Now, apparently you need SM 3.0 support to run Farcry 2, I was wondering if there is something out there that would allow me to emulate SM3 on my SM2 card. I know that it will probably cause a huge FPS drop (along with the fact I'm running a game on a card that can't really handle it in the first place, but the objective is to be a little above the fail factor for the Crysis PIII thread (I personally thought it was a fun idea).
In the long run I am looking for something to emulate Shader Model 3 on my Shader Model 2 card. Or maybe something that would allow me to run Shader Model 3 apps with shader model 2.
For all of those people thinking about flaming me or just saying "buy a new GPU" or going on with your immature methods. Just save it and waste your bandwidth somewhere else.
