Go to MP and go to the free mode. Get in a car with someone else and have them drive down the runway really fast. When you're just about at the end of the runway, jump out and it will launch you over the ramp and into the water. If you hit it right you'll go right over the barge in the water. If you hit the barge, you're dead though.
Free mode is best if the mods are there to spawn you cars. Or if you can spawn them yourself you're all set. Free mode there is great, until someone makes it a deathmatch that is.
we have a little Freemode crew, and we just vote kick those kind of noobs.

Now one thing, should I install patches?
Sounds cool.

I am going for a E5200 and a 780i soon, glad to hear that it runs smooth on your setup.

In other news, I finally managed to get it slightly playable and have been having fun with my new wired 360 controller. Hate to say it, but it is much better than mouse and keyboard for this game. But the 600cc bike is fun, zooming along the first islands runway.

I really need to start playing online again. I really think that the crashing on my part is caused by my SLI setup. When I get a new mobo I may scrap it and just get a gtx 280 or something.

One of the great features of the PC version of GTA 4 is the new radio station "Independence FM" this works in a similar way to the old custom radio station in previous PC version of GTA . However this time your own personal music will be interspersed with adverts and radio talk. It is very easy to set up just follow these steps :-

1. Simply place your mp3's or shortcuts to your mp3's in the folder called "My DocumentsRockstar GamesGTA IVUser Music"
2. Now start the game up
3. Go too options and select Audio
4. The first thing to do is scan the mp3's in (bit like creating a playlist). You can choose either Auto scan, quick scan or complete scan.
5. it is probably best to choose complete scan, as the scanning happens you will see a countdown of your MP3's
6. Once the scan has finished start the game, select Independence FM on the radio. Then sit back and watch Niko tapping his feet to the "Birdie song"

Additional Information About Independence FM

In case you are curious what the three different scanning methods do then her is a run down :-

* Auto Scan - Set this to ON to perform a Quick Scan automatically on game startup.
* Quick Scan - Reads the audio files within your folder, plays back exactly as they are in the folder.
* Complete scan - Reads the audio files within your folder, performs additional analysis to enhance user experience.

There are several play modes for Independence FM which you can select in the audio menu. These are :-

* Sequential - Plays through audio files as they appear in your folder, can skip songs.
* Shuffle - Plays through audio files randomly, can skip songs.
* Radio - Plays through audio files randomly with radio adverts and DJ banter in between tracks, cannot skip songs.
Sounds like you have the play mode set to Radio, I hope that helps.

Even if it was set to radio, which mine is, it could still clip into part of a song when you change stations. It simply sounds like it's not reading the sound files. Try makign shortcuts to the songs instead of using the actual songs. This is what I do and it works fine.
