As of yet I do not believe Intel have released any 64 bit processors for socket 478. In the future I think they will as a lot of people still own 478's and they would not turn down a big market opertunity like that.

The 64bit in the 5x1 and the 6xx is different from the 64 bit in dual core. I remember seeing this somewhere,
When you boot with the 5x1 or 6xx, you will see :EM64T
When you boot with a dual core cpu, you will see:64bit x86
Plus itll be a longshot before intel brings the 478's back into the market. There were a lot of good things that intel, or any company for that matter ( car companies, other electronics companies) had made in the past, but were unable to bring it back because they need to pave a new road of interest for newer technology.
One instance is, why make 478 chips again, where you can buy a motherboard for like $30, when the companies can produce the 775 chip only, and force people to buy motherboards at $100+? Well, not force, but I think you know what I mean

Or you sell low end cheapo celerons for the 478 with a low profit ratio, or your gonna sell new procs with "security options!" and other shiny stuff with a lot higher profit ratio. With the release of Vista next summer, everyone wants to buy new computers, because it's new...and shiny...has even more security options and they think it will not run on old procs.
