Ultra Kaze 3000 in the UK?

Thread Starter
I've been trying to find one for months, ended up having to make do with a 2000

So does anyone know if they are available anywhere in the UK?
KustomPCs had them in stock a while back but the next day when I went to order they had sold out and they havn't had them back in stock since....

I'm in exactly the same boat at the moment, and haven't been able to find them anywhere, not even on eBay.

I have, however, found this:

Excessive? Probably, but it'll certainly do the job.

Yeah i've considered Deltas but 59dBA is a bit to much for me

I've seen some on ebay but they're from america and I don't fancy paying £15-£20 for the shipping alone... You can buy a Ultra 2000 pretty much anywhere I don't see why it's so hard to get the 3000

Maybe you could import a whole box of them and resell them to UK overclockers.

Just and update ;x

Got my Ultra kaze 3000 today after months of searching, if anyone else has been trying to get them in the UK then KustomPCs has them in stock now.

I didn't think it would be that much louder than the 2000 model but man it is, i'm having second thoughts

You probably don't need an Ultra Kaze anyway. They're mostly a status symbol, I think. I yanked mine out and replaced it with a Slip Stream. I can hear myself think again.

I've got a couple of Slipstreams, tried switching them around before and I get lower temps with the kazes, the 3000 has lowered my temps another few degrees but i'm not sure it's worth the noise. I might just switch it back to the 2000 and use the 3000 in summer

I've currently got the 2000 + 1900RPM Slipstream as exhausts though and my airflow is now ridiculous ;x

I guess i'll have to start using my fan controller.

If you use them for CPU fan then just put them on auto this way the only time you will hear it is under load.

^^ It's plugged into my fan controller not my motherboard so that wouldn't work unless I did ;] I don't think it would be a good move plugging high end fans into the motherboard anyway, plus it would screw my cable managment up
post #10 of 11
Eh, I plugged the Slip Stream into the motherboard. Then again I haven't turned on any kind of fan control. It just runs at full speed.
