Well, Ladies (if there are any) and Gentlemen,
I’m finally home and now reaching the final touches to my case mod. Yes, I have two weeks to go, and I’m scrambling, but I’ve had a week vacation and plenty of time to work on a game plan for the coming two weeks while on the plane rides back home. This plan is tentative and, for right now, what I think I can get done with the allotted time I have left. While it may sound simple to some, please understand that I’m back at school, so now I have to battle school, work, a relationship, and running 200 miles during winter term (new years resolution) while working on this case mod for the next couple weeks. Luckily, my work gave me the first week of school off, so I’m gonna get as much done as I can within my apartment. My invisible ink pen doesn’t come until next week (super slow shipping, and the reason why its on Week 2), but luckily, my extra cathodes and sound activators have already arrived at my apartment and are waiting for me to install. I will be looking for model train smoke machines at my local hobby shop to try and insert somewhere in the case for that smoky effect (if the price is right). I’ll also be going to a craft store to get pink cellophane (or something that’s translucent pink) and Velcro for the CCube. I figure if I use Velcro to hold on the one side instead of glue, I don’t have to permanently close the CCube and maybe later put a mini-server in. I, also, borrowed my friend’s belt sander and router. I couldn’t be more ready to OC my life these next two weeks!
Here’s what the schedule looks like so far:
The colors are in no particular order or mean anything to other columns. They are simply just a way for me to organize what all I can do in one day so I can focus on getting that select stuff done day-by-day. Week 1 and Week 2 work is going to be performed in my apartment, where the Weekend work will be in my dad’s garage (he’s still on vacation
) With that in mind, I’m getting all the sanding and cutting work done at the garage, and leaving most of the painting and other non-messy stuff for the week work. And, I’m leaving the main rig, the ASEC part, at my apartment during the weekend so I can focus on getting the grunt of the CCube done.
That’s the plan!
Sorry to Smasher and everyone over at the Community Mod thread in advance for my lack of full attention to helping get a design set in stone over there. I’ll try to be checking it from time to time, but I really gotta get this done.
Thanks to everyone following my mod! And thanks to those who voted for me for MOTM! I couldn’t’ have gotten 2nd place with your votes! I always appreciate all your kind comments!
Be ready! Updates will be coming quick, often, and from all directions!
