i need to decide on PSU <$50 if im gonna go with the antec 300, and a HDD thats under 200GB cuz i dont use up a lot of space. monitor can be debatable, but must be samsung and under $200

Get an EVGA GPU.

I would spend more on the PSU. Something you dont need to skip out on.. And get a 20" Acer or samsung monitor!

He's not skimping at all on the PSU, the Antec 380 is a great unit and more than enough to power that rig.

ok i found a 8800 gt evga at $115

i also need some fans. im not sure how many i need tho

i was wondering why ppl r selling their 8800gts for under $100 in the for sale section?

Yeah, I agree the psu should be fine. Unless the op is planning a quick upgrade to sli, then it's all good!

will the heatsink come with the thermal compound?

the price right now is kind of expensive for me. im aiming for around $500 so if anybody can provide links for better prices, i would appreciate it. i am waiting for frys' black friday sale =P

well everything will be cheaper on black friday m8 so you can prolly find that 8800GT for less then. the reason most are selling them now is because of the GTX series just domionates the other nvidia line up. but 8800GT is a real nice card and can still play all the newest games. I do agree about that powersupply though yes it could power that rig but it's better safe than sorry, I would get a nice 500w or higher psu with a high rated 12v rail/multiple 12v rails.

if your going to game believe me you will need all the hard drive space you can afford.

do go for radeon, its the better company out there and cheaper

im sure it will be cheaper come friday

If you want check out the Orion 585 for a cheap but good PSU, I got mine for 25 and it powers my sig system fine even with the card OC'd.

I would get the HD4830. In most benchmarks, it seems to outperform it, sometimes by a large margin. Also, I think they have more overclocking headroom.
