best video card for a 300w power supply

Thread Starter
I've been searching for graphics cards for a while now for my comp which also

has a 300w power supply.I can't really afford getting a new PSU and a g-card. All i really do is play my darn video games decently (WoW, L4D) etc

my specs are:

300w power supply

windows vista 32bit

processor is AMD athelon 64x2 dual core processor 5000+

2gigs of ram.

I was wondering like what everyone else said if that 4670 radeon would be well for me. My budget is about 100$.

Considering i have a really aweful geforce 8300 gs i'm probably sure anything would be better than it. What do you guys think?

do you know the amp rating on the 12v rail? that would help alot in figuring out which graphics card you can get.

read somen where this power supply doesnt have a 6-pin PCI-e connector whatever that is (not pc savy xD)

also take in consideration i just wanna play games pretty good i mean my 8300 gt runs assassin creed on low with no problems soome problems in the kingdom but i'd like it to be on med or somen

reading that a 8600gt can work fine in my comp what do u guys think?

get the radeon 4670. you will not regret it. it doesnt take up alot of power and it runs everything on high and pretty darn amazing! best 80$ i spent. saved money and playing hard core

assassins creed everything on high
gears of war everything high
bioshock
call of duty 4
devil may cry 4

this thing is awesome im using the MSI brand because my motherboard is MSI and hey i dont have any complaints, im glad it works right out of the box.

fyi reso be at 1280x1024 for all games, i game on a 17 inch screen and it looks really awesome.
