I have a noob question for you guys. Do you have to put the case fans to the motherboard or no? It does not look too good and wondering if there was any draw back to connecting them to a fan controller somewhere else.

I would not connect the fans to the mobo. I had my fans hooked up to a Zalman MFC-1+ fan controller. It worked very well controlling 6 CM R4 fans. Fan controller is a much better option, plus most motherboards only have 2-3 fan headers. So you wouldnt be able to connect all your fans to it anyway.

Thnx I took the fans off the board just to see how it would look and rearranged all my cables last night. I need to hook them up to the fan controller tonight but it looks 100% better right now, i just need to pop my sleeves back on it will be looking sharp.

what kind of fan controller is that. I have some silverstone fans with their propietary type controller, but I would like to have them all on the same controller

It is a Zalman MFC1 Plus. It iks a great fan controller and worked perfect when I had my HAF932. I had it hooked up to the 4 fans on the side panel and the 2 up top.

Can anyone who has their DVD drive all the way at the top share how long their SATA cable is? I see this 1m (40") SATA cable going for $2 and I'm thinking about getting it. I have an IDE DVD drive right now but will be getting a SATA drive very soon. The IDE cable has been driving me nuts because it is very short, so I just have it stretched up from my motherboard to the DVD drive and it looks horrendous.

I think an 18 inch would work just fine... Cant go wrong for $2 though. You will just have a lot of extra wire to bundle up.

Randomly googled "organize cables in Cooler Master HAF 932" and this came up. Thank you for posting this, your original post plus all the replies has given me plenty of ideas for my case.
