Once amd starts rolling out their 6core cpu's. Intel will follow suite and release a non extreme edition version of that gulftown, that doesn't cost an arm and a leg . Maybe there's still some hope for plan b

I guess it's time to get that asus mb to the for sale section. The sooner it sell the faster the ddr3 version of ud3p arrives

I don't think so. As far as research goes this is the best motherboard after ud3p series for quads. Besides there's one guy here on OCN who has the same problem as i have with an E0 chip too. I have to admit that no chip is like the other and i have bad luck.

Check this out, I only messed with clock drives. You can see pretty much how these guys crank the heater from where I live, just by looking at my nb temps It's hotter than my cpu

That UD3P DDR3 is calling out for you PlugOut

Lol i hope but they are discontinued. So I have to save money for i7 rig cuz i don't have any other choice

Edit: i decided to give one more chance to the cpu. I'm @ 3.8 with 1.36 vcore. And other high voltages. This vcore is too much i know and temps hit 60c when playing l4d. But there's no other way to be stable with this cpu. But i have no other choice so.

Voltages

Vcore: 1.3625v
GTL ref: .63v
VTT: 1.34
PPL: 1.56
NB: 1.34
PCI: 1.50
SB:1.2

As far as i can tell CPU crashes with bsod code 124 which is usually low vcore in blend test below 1.36 vcore. Temps are too high. And you know that i want 4 ghz. What can i do with skews and other settings to work this out with a lower vcore (4 ghz is not important anymore i'll focus on making 3.8 stable with lower voltage)?

Download MCH temp and keep an eye of your nb temp (press f8 before windows logo appears and choose disable driver signing enforcement). I've just found out while blending at 512fsb that for it to be stable, P45 chipset must stay below 50C while maintaining high voltage (depends to how many sticks of ram you have). When it reaches above 50C+, it throws off x00124 bsod and lockups which would make you think it's cpu related etc.

Keep trying man. Raise vtt just well above vcore or keep in between nb/vcore. It's the last time you'll ever oc a mb with a nb chipset on it. Might as well make the most out of it

Put a fan directly at your nb so it's more effective Try playing straps/divider at 400 except 1:1. Do 450fsb with your ram at 600Mhz(1200) 1.20vtt-1.26vtt and 1.26vnb-1.30vnb. As I told you earlier, read reviews of your ram and set the proper timings accordingly leave the rest to auto for now even static read control (performance level). Should be easy man, even these nvidia guys can do it

I can't believe it! What you said about nb is totally true. I managed to get nb temp below 50c and BAM! Instant stability on blend for 8 hours! I even managed to drop vcore a little bit and tested it for 2 hours. I have a rule ; if the comp can survive through 2 hours of prime i consider it stable. I know it's wrong but i don't expect from this machine anymore so it's fine. However i tried 4 ghz and it's still a dream to me cuz it gave me a bsod just before boot. A bsod i don't even know. Something called 000000fc. I don't even know what that is! Anyway i don't care for 4 ghz anymore so i'm trying to lower my vcore. These are the settings that the comp is stable @ 3.8 and i tried 4 ghz and gave a bsod with.

Vcore: 1.35 in windows
GTL ref: .63v
VTT: 1.34v
NB: 1.26v Responds incredibly well to low nbv
PPL:1.54
PCI:1.50
SB:1.2

I feel like i need loads of nb for 471x8.5 to be stable and i don't have a spare fan to direct it to it. What else should i do?
