ok, right now i'm at 4.2 Ghz (495x8.5) and the ram is 495 Mhz for a 1:1 ratio. it is working at 4.2 ghz but when i stress test, i get errors in less then a minute... i'm not crashing, but i just don't know what else i can do to have no errors, cause putting more vcore does'nt change anything to my stabilization at all, i fell that i nedd to start tweeking into other thing, but i just don't know where to start... i put more fsb term voltage, it helped, but still not stable on stress test...

thank mm67 i'm going there right now . i've been reading a lot about overclocking for the last 2 weeks and i started from not knowing at all how a pc works... i started reading a lot and 3 4 day ago i went to buy a noctua NH-D14 for proper cooling to get much better cpu performances, but theres a lot of tweeks... starting from 2.83Ghz to 4Ghz was easy but now it's getting harder to stabilize my gear.

When you run Prime, a hard lock or BSOD (especially the 0x124 BSOD} is usually lack of vcore or vtt, but when one core fails a prime test while the others plug away it is generally a mch or ref voltage.

yeah thank . i'm stabilizing it ( for a 24 hour stability) and after tweeking fsb term voltage and nb voltage i was always failing on one core only after like 1 hours then i tweeked again fsb term voltage and it last for 1 hours 40 minutes... so i droped it as it was before and i tweeked my vcore ans bam! 10 hours stability! i tweeked it again a little bit more and now prime is running ( large fft) for 4 hours 40 minutes now... i wonder how long will it last! if it last like 16 hours i'm gonna tweek a little bit more to get my 24 hours stability... once i have it i'm gonna start droping my nb voltages and fsb term voltages to minimum possible so it stays stable 24 hours... is it a good technique? which one should i start first? nb voltage or fsb term voltages? and does cpu pll voltage have a great importance here?

right now my voltages are: v core: 1.26250, dram voltage :1.90 v ( 471.0 Mgz x2 = 942 Mghz and i'm good at 1066 Mhz so i still have room for a fsb increase), fsb term volt: 1.36 v, cpu pll: 1.56 v ( i feel this one is a bit to high ), sb :1.1, nb:1.32 v. Right now my core temps are: 50-50-43-51 wich is pretty good after 4 hours 50 minutes prime95 running... Yesterday i ran memtest86+ and i had errors for test number 7 and 9... i read on internet that for test 7 is lack of vdram ( which i think is right cause the more fsb you want, the more v you need..) but for test 9 i have no idea what is it... right now i cannot test cause i'm running prime95 but as soon as i'm stable i'll begin tweeking my ram voltages... again i read on internet to test my ram stability BEFORE overclocking but i'm noob so i skipped that step not knowing it... lol
