post link on the 2002m bios please.

450 FSB is not, I think I should try something like 470 FSB.

no, I don't have msn. I don't think the 2002m bios that I'm using works on yours, but in that package that you can download (link posted back several posts) has a few different bioses in it - I think there's one for you.
Yes - you need 471x8.5 to break 4.0.

I still can't get anything decent stable - besides 3.1 (366x8.5). I haven't tried anything between 366 + 400 yet. Need to go up bit by bit I guess, testing different voltages.

I'm starting to wonder if it's a PSU problem causing the shutdown/reboots. Sometimes Prime fails, but sometimes it just plain old reboots. And I've turned off the Windows System Recovery Reboot option. A Few times it froze. and needed a hard reboot.

I found the link of 2002m bios on some pages ago, yes, but you do not know which bios to use ... because there are several files in the ROM's.

On your system, try changing your PSU.

You have successfully ever 4ghz stable?

For some reason I think I read somewhere that the P5Qs weren't the best at OC'ing.
you're right - they're not the best OCers. But I would think they're better than what I'm getting - there are others with success. I can't even get up to 3.6 stable. Working on it now, testing 3.22. I'm off for the rest of the day.
Tomorrow I might consider plugging in a different PSU, swapping to some different ram from other machines, and re-seating HSF.

i love my 750i FTW. i hear that the only prob nVidia chipsets have with overclocking is getting the fsb really high (like 1800-2000) but thats it. as far as those temps you prob need a better cooler than that 9700, the best for quad ocing are the xigmatek s1283, tuniq tower, thermalright true 120, or the noctura tower. the big tower styles seem to do best for air cooling quads. swap coolers and i bet you could prob get close to if not slightly over 4.0GHz.

I just found and read the review of the P5Q-Pro from Hardware canucks: http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum...review-14.html
This link goes to the page showing the voltages they measured. Of course it's for a different CPU, but I'm going to try and decipher what I can from it now, and see what happens. The highest stable I've been able to get so far is 388x8.5. Judging by this table, I need to go higher with the voltages. It just keeps rebooting/crashing on me.

I don't know if this will help you at all, but i was having a problem where i couldnt get above 2.93, what i did is set my multi to 8 instead of 8.5 and now i have it at 3.73 on the x8 instead of 8.5, and i think im at 1.25 volts
