No I know, it's been stable for almost 1 hour now . But why is my validation rejected by cpu-z?

Turned out to be unstable. FATAL ERROR after 59 mins.

Lowered the speed to 3.9GHz, and been stable for 1.25 hours now. Could this be the right setting for my CPU?

You may need more vcore... Once you can Prime 95 for 8+ hours, and Intel burn Test ATLEAST 25 passes, you are stable.

This is how it should look once you validate...

bios vcore: 1.2875

as you can see, prime95 has been running for 3 hours now.

UPDATE: after nearly 5 hours the PC restarted (blue screen), but that's just good enough for me, especially for gaming. In the coming days I'll maybe increase the vcore a bit and stress the cpu for 8 hours.

You are one lucky person! That is one golden Q9550! Is that on water or on air?

Yeah, I know but how do you do that. When I validate they reject it .

on air, as you can see in my sig. the fan is a scythe s-flex 1600 rpm push. I just set the bios vcore a notch higher to 1.29.. and will try the stress testing tomorrow again, if it can hold on for 6 hours without a bsod then I'll call it stable.
