I believe that this guide is working in the premise that as long as the QPI/VTT and DRAM votage are within 0.5 volts within each other, you will be fine. I went to the tweaktown forums where Gigabyte tech reps post, and one rep said that those recommended settings from intel are conservative, and that higher QPI voltages will be okay. I also heard that Gigabyte boards require a higher qpi voltage anyway.

I tend to agree with Gigabyte. Because if we were going to strictly follow Intel's guidelines, we wouldn't overclock in the first place considering they recommend AGAINST overclocking. Us enthusiasts go outside guidelines anyway when we clock up the processor above the stock speed.
