Because ball is better than sleeve and less dBA is less annoying to run 24/7?

Of course I would per fur ball bearings over sleeve lol but I don't think ball bearings have that much advantage on life span so ball bearing isn't like a must need.

besides that fan you posted there the noise level is 39 dBA to Ultra Kaze 45dba and 2600 RPM's at 102CFM's? pffttt lol compared to 3000RPMs at 133 lol pfftt yeah I'll take a little more noise and stick with my Ultra Kaze fans...

The San Ace has higher static pressure. All you are taking into consideration is CFM which is dumb. On a TRUE, static pressure > CFM. I get better temps with my San Ace fans, they are quieter and undervolt better.

Sanyo Denki, Panaflo and Delta make better fans than Scythe. Scythe isn't bad, just they aren't amazing either.

EDIT: removed the first sentence, really shouldn't tell you that.

I have a Silverstone FM122B on mine. It is 120mmx32mm and moves a lot of air when I need it to because it has a fan speed controller.

Ok, so performance wise, San Ace is the best? So CFM shouldn't be considered at all and only static pressure? Oh yeah and how do you know a fan has good static pressure? <----- surprised this post was still active haha

Hey I'm in the same situation as you, sort of. Just tonight I ordered a TRUE and an Ultra KAZE 3k.

Sanyo Denki, Delta and Panaflo are all good. Just depends on how much you want to spend. Also most sites will list the static pressure, you just need to keep an eye out.

EDIT: Any of the 38mm fans from brands that make server fans are good. Since the fans they design are meant to be used 24/7 and to last for years.
