Good mobo for phenom 2

Thread Starter
Since more and more benchies are appearing, and looking appealing to me. I'll probably be buying one of these cpu's (preferbly the 940BE)

But i'm still clueless on what mobo i should get.

I won't know my exact budget yet, but It'll probably be arround 100 - 150 euro (euro, not dollar)

The mobo has to be:
Crossfire compatible
am2+ socket
support of dual memory channel
Good overclock ability.

I'm not sure if the overclock ability really matters when only raising the multiplier (wich i'm planning to do on the 940) as i'm not really experienced with ram tweaking and all.

Most important is the crossfire ability, since i'll be adding another 4870 in the future most likely. better be prepared then having regrets later on.

If any of you could help me out, will be verry well appreciated.
If you have any recomendations, feel free to state the reason why i should get this one over the others, ect ect.

Thanks!

Either the Asus M3A-79T or a DFI 790FXB. They are pretty much the only 2 high end AM2+ boards out there.

and it supports crossfire, right?

this website i use lists the available pci-e slots and sometimes it says something like "4x PCIe x16 2.0, Crossfire"
However, the Asus M3A-79T only says "onboard, 3x PCIe x16 2.0"

The price is 145€, so thats not bad.
Considering the cpu will probably go for about 200€ makes this a total of ~350€ wich is something i'm aiming for.

sidenote: the website here dousn't list the DFI 790FXB. I guess it's not available in belgium yet.

Those motherboards get my recommendation as well though I'd go with the M3A79-T Deluxe as first choice.

If you're on more of a budget (not good with Euros), a 790GX/SB750 board will work well, too. Some people have achieved amazing overclocks with those boards. Just make sure you don't get stuck with a 125W CPU support board...get one that can handle a lot of headroom (140W support).
