Future Upgrade

Thread Starter
Heya OCN,

I always like to dream about future upgrade for my PC. Even though this is overclocking club where the main objective is to get the best performance from the buck.

Well I was actually thinking of buying a new rig when Nehalem i7 comes out, but was kinda disappointed. The reason doesn't matter...

I am right now very interested on Sandy Bridge and I have some questions.

My source is from Wikipedia

1. "4 GHz clock speed" means the stock speed is 4GHz?

2. According to WIKI, Sandy Bridge is the next revolutionary from Core 2 chips, when the Core 2 chips first came out, what was their price?

3. What do you think the price will be when Sandy is released on 2010?

The basic level chips will probably be $300-350 from my guesses. IIRC, that's about what C2D launched at, and around where the Q6600 was during launch.
