Best Gpu that wont bottleneck?

Hi guys, so im looking at buying a new video card for my aging Socket 939 (see Sig rig) machine. The thing is i dont want to end up buying a a video card that will bottleneck in games. I aim to play games mostly at 1280 @ 1020 with filers and Aa on. Currently im considering

Radeon 4830- Seems really cool, bit cheaper than a 4850, what i really like about this card is that i can encode videos very quickly! Although im worried about the heat output :S
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102803

9800GT- Fast card, encodes a little slower than the 4830 but might play games a bit better from what i read, free Cod 4
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150316

And Finally a 4830- Read so many positive reviews on this, cant wait to see how it can decode videos, again im worried about heat output

So which card would be the best guys? If there is a better card that wont bottleneck, feel free to suggest it.

That 9800GT is a really nice deal and comes with free COD4 as you mentioned. Also it is single-slot. The frames out of that thing would be far superior to the 4830.

Your call. I would pick the GT.

4850, with that cooler, its probly not going to produce much heat. You can turn up fan speed/lower clocks to reduce heat.

"far superior" is an overstatement, but i still think you should go for the GT.

The free game makes it the best deal.

i would go for a 3870. 4850 would need a better CPU. its going to bottleneck.

I would go with that. Hope this helps.

I own that 9800GT, and I would recommend it... although, it does run warm (i'll hit 85c under load according to rivatuner), so if you're worried about heat, then the 4830 would probably be the better bet.

I got the 9800GT because it is VERY close in performance to the 4830, and I was gonna buy COD4 anyway.... so it was the obvious choice there.

Well my HIS4830 isnt as good as I hoped it would be...

Get the 9800gt for nvidia drivers = cod4
Gets the job done

Sorry, no experience with it, all I know is that its called badaboom, and you can get a trial version with the cuda developers pack (or whatever it is called).

If you look through the reviews on newegg, you can see what I had to say about it (meaning the 9800GT that you're looking at, and look for Logan... in the middle of Nov).

Good luck with whatever you do
