Hey guys- wel I have few buck to spare for upgrade abit and would like you guys to give me some opinions...

It came down to this( because of GTA 4) and the idea of future games using 4 cores...

It's either a new Cpu: Q6600 http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/pro...ducts_id=10975

OR

A new mobo with Sli Support for mabe a second GPU and some exstra RAM i was thinking about these : http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/pro...ducts_id=11197

And another 2 Gigs of my sig Ram

Which of these two choices would be the best gain and/or choice

im based in south Africa so my main choice of ordering online is this website:

http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/index.php

Help deciding wil be appreciated...(including own suggestions)

First off, this appears to be the wrong forum.

Anyways, my first choice with your set up would actually be to just wait and see how prices settle with the new stuff that's coming out of the next couple of months or just pick up some more memory. If you're going to upgrade though, the q6600 sounds like a bad deal. The resale price is going to plummet with the retail price drop of the i7 920. Just wait on that. An ati 4850 or 4870 seems like a good deal though, plus they are compatible with i7 if you eventually go that way. Going for an sli is not bad either, though, considering the card you have now is pretty good. It just limits your future options (or wastes money).

Basically, get whatever new graphics card you want, but wait on the processor. Buying a core 2 quad right now would be kind of like buying a pentium D right after the release of core 2.
