And if that doesn't work. Check out the eye doctor.
I played Far Cry 2 with the settings maxed and Crysis on Very High in DX9 and I must say that Crysis is bounds ahead of Far Cry 2 in terms of eye candy. I enjoyed Far Cry 2, more than most it seems based on everyone's dislike, but let's just say the graphics weren't the entity driving me to play it. There was something about Far Cry 2 that I can't quite place my finger on that I didn't find appealing in the graphics department. I personally think the Source or Unreal 3 engine, like everyone have mentioned, would be much more suited to an MMO since requirements would be lackluster and both can look great.
I did hear about the MMO based off of CryEngine 2, but it's more like an online reality MMO more than anything; I think the name of it was Avatar or something. I predict it's failure when and if it's released.

Quite possibly the problem with FC2 is that there are only so many shades of brown

Yes Crysis has better overall graphics, but the point of this thread is the construction of an MMO. At least on the Dunia engine, at least some gamers would be able to play it with fairly high settings and it would be a visual treat. An MMO on the CryEngine 2 would result in minimum specs of tri GTX 295 or crossfire 5870's aka epic fail.

Possibly the ultra realistic sunrise/sunsets? Or the real time sunrays shining through the trees? Maybe the highly detailed character models.. I dunno.

The Dunia engine only uses 2-3% of the original cryengine, so I don't think it's fair calling it an "optimized version". Source <- scroll down to where it explains the engine.

Mmo's will have alot more traffic tho

and they will be more CPU dependent aswell then UT3 itself

Maybe the fact far cry 2 has a more dark/ruined environment, other then the jungle your basicly facing the desert and died out trees.

Where in crysis, your in a jungle, a tropical beach, ect ect its alot more brighter then the scenery they used in FC2

I am interested in the Cryengine 2 MMO that is planned, the graphics should be better than Crysis while having a story!
