Always go higher because eventually like me, your gonna want a bigger one. I mean I bought a 19" 2 years ago and Im already planning to buy a 24" aswell.

I just picked up a 22" LG for $250 at Fry's. And Newegg has an Asus one for about $150 - check the online deals forum here on OCN for the link.

$300 is plenty for a good 22" screen

I would recommend an amazing 23" screen: Samsung SyncMaster 2343NW. 2048x1152 pixels of LCD sexyness

Sorry for the double post....

Don't get impressed by the dynamic contrast, it continuosly changes while you watch your monitor so it really sucks during movies. Also, the GTG is not an indicator of the real response time.
