Which of these two would you pick for gaming. In this price range would there be something else you would get? I really like the asus resolution on a 22, but I have never had any experience with a asus lcd.

how do the samsung models compare to the asus
post #5 of 12
Def. the ASUS out of these two.

By the way, consider a Samsung or Acer over either of those. I would say you will pay more for the Samsung though (unless you find a comparable deal). In general the Samsung models will have better contrast ration, blacks, etc..... hope that helps!

Depends what the color temps the company has used, Generally Samsung looks nicer. I bought 21.5" Benq E2200HD's (1080P HDMI)and have had nothing but great experiences with them. Have both my Xbox 360 and My PC hooked up, even has room for a third conntection via D-Sub, looks great with HDTV running on them aswell

I would say 22" is the breaking point in color quality and how much you will notice it. So IMHO I would say it is def. noticeable. If you were to ask a graphic artist or tecnhophile they will say yes as well. Hope that helps.

I recently ordered an ASUS 22" LCD monitor for someone else, and liked it so much I am going to order the updated version for myself.

The 1080p on a 22" is nice, but the only thing that I would check on is make sure PC games you want to play will support 16:9, as monitors are generally 16:10.

Mind you if you go with the 1080p res your GPU (depending on what it is) may struggle.
