unfortunately, I'm getting other stuff from newegg on the same order and I'd like to keep it to one dealer.

Dont get another dual core. You will be gravely disappointed by the little gain you will experience with another dual core.

DO NOT buy a Q6600, the newer ones have horrible overclocking headroom and run pretty hot. either buy the E8500 or the Q9400 you have, the 9400 will run more apps at once whereas the 8500 wikll overclock a bit higher.
