I have an odd problem this new WD Caviar Black I just got. It shows up in the BIOS and in the device manager in Windows, but it is not in My Computer. Anybody know what could be the problem?

go to start -> run type compmgmt.msc, click Disk Management. Look carefully and see if it's there, if so try to format it. If you know as much as I'm guessing you do, you can take it over from there. Good Luck

Check your Disk Management and look it up to see if its even formatted.
Plug it back in and out a few times and play around with it a little if Disk Managment doesn't work out.

Thanks for the help guys this was my first OEM drive and I didn't think that it wouldn't be formatted. I've heard people talk of this, do I need a regular partion or an extended? I'm going to have mainly games and video on this drive.
