How do i change my WEP key?

Thread Starter
Ive got a DLink DSL-502T modem connected to a Belkin 54g Wireless router. I need to reset my WEP because its lost.

Now ive been into the DLink modem settings, and looked under EVERY tab and cannot find an option.

I know its been done easily before because an ex housemate did it one time when someone had hacked our network.

Am i menat to be connecting the the Belkin wireless and if so.. how do i do that?

Find the reset button on the back of the router and push/hold it in. Then just set up the network again.

What he said^. It will be under the wireless section in your router. Also, check out the wireless guide in my sig.

edit: It will be on the wireless router settings, not the DLink. You can access your router from an internet browser of a computer connected to the network, but it varies from brand to brand. What is the full model number on the belkin?

edit2: Check this out.

Did you try going to the IP login screen and playing with those settings? Usually it's 192.168.1.1?

If belkin has a different set of settings they should have something written somewhere on the router that tells you where to go.

Its a belkin model F5D7230au4 . In the book it mentions an address of 192.168.2.1 but this does not connect. I have also tried reseting it using the reset button. This seems to have made no difference

I think you have to use the reset button on the modem to reset all the settings.
