Xbox 360 just started freezing... - Page 2

Yeah. Buy a bigger hard drive, usually, the upgrade ones have transfer kits.

You could buy a PS3, but then how on earth would you be able to play Gears 2?

Hey chaunce.... Thats never happened to me, I have had my 360 for four years. No RROD, no eating my disks, and its never froze.

But if you have a 1080p TV, you should think about PS3, hellllloooo BLU RAY!!!

Would this work instead of buying a whole new 360 hard drive? LINK
Also, I have a PS3, so you can stop with the fanboy crap

Yeah guys, he is trying to resolve his 360 problem, not asking to throw out his xbox for a ps3.

Try to format the drive, and if that doesn't work, then call Microsoft and maybe they can help you out with the HDD problem (worth a try), but buying a new drive might be your last chance decision

I started having this issue after starting to play Fallout 3. Game would freeze and crash at random points. I'd play for a little or for an hour and it would happen. Guess i'll swap the 40gb from my ps3 and try it. Have not seen it happen in L4D yet though. Wondering if it's just been a Fallout 3 issue.

i just bought a 360 this week and i had similar problems playing fable 2. installing the game to the hard drive seems to have fixed it for me

I had the similar problem when my console was just about to RROD, and then also when an update screwed up my game. Try clearing the cache and test out the game. If it happens at the same spot in the game then its a software thing and clearing the cache should do it but if its a bit random then system might die on you.

I haven't heard of the hard drive actually being the problem before so i don't know if swapping it would be good or not, unless you got a "custom" hard drive.

I had to send my Xbox 360 away twice for repair (3 red lights) My guess is your XBOX is getting close to having that problem.
