[TPU] SAPPHIRE Launches Special Water Cooled ATOMIC HD 4870 X2 Video Card - Page 7

It is just cooling the video card, you don't need 1/2 ID tubing...it really adds little if anything, and 1x120mm radiator is much more capacity than the little fan and heat pipes in a slot. The radiator is presumably on the a case exit, getting much more flow. Will it be the same as a GTX480 on a 200w CPU? No, it is more like a GT120 on 290w processor. But probably better than the centrifugal fan and heatpipes.

let's just say...after the stuff i read...that single rad looks like it won't cool anything. the kit's for the glamour effect.

it's sad how people who are gonna buy this card+WC combo don't know the rad won't handle the heat, and then RMA the burnt card, and then get a new one, RMA it, and get it again. the whole time they'll think that it's the cards fault. bruuutal.

and then, people have the nerve to come here and say "let the noobs buy it for glamour"? that's some pretty sickining **it there.

Actually the single rad WILL handle the heat... at least as well as the stock air cooler. And if it's a full block it might even cool off the VRM, too.

But they are probably going to jack the price up a hundred bucks and it simply isn't worth that. Plus, there's an added danger: just how good of a pump are they using?

You officially have earned my respect Marin. I promise, no more pants jokes. for now.

On-topic, that looks ugly. Small radiator too.

Judging by the pics, the pcb is still slotted as if it hosts a dual slot air cooling solution as well.

And what's wrong with him talking about the rad being bad? You do realize there are good and bad rads... If they gave me this loop for free I wouldn't use it on anything except maybe a NB or SB.
@ 75% air cooling... what's the DB reading on that, jet engine?
As for decent air cooling, he failed to mention anything after market.
Really, did you even test this loop before you talk out of your"Hat"?

You know what's really a shame, people not giving it a chance without a review judging a book by how the cover looks.
