Over the last month I have went online and taught myself alot about computers. This is my first gaming build its not perfect but just a beginner here. Thanks for letting me be part of your community. Attached are some pics without the 9800 GTX+. My problem with running SLI is 1 9800GTX+ will fit but the other won't fit in the 3rd slot Might just have to upgrade the case. Oh and the cable management is the toughest I just don't see where to put them out of the way. Might help the computer breath better.

Case is a Raidmax Sagittarius
Q6700 OC'd to 3Ghz at 1.30V with Zalman 9500A cooler
EVGA 780i SLI MB
4gig OCZ Reaper 800 RAM
2 XFX 512mb 8600GT GPU's SLI'd will be installing 2 9800GTX+ soon
1000W Xion Supernova Modular PSU

Temps hover around 40c idle and 50c full load on the cpu. Case hangs around 37c which i'm going to install 2 pci slot case coolers to get the excess heat out when they arrive from Tiger. Should just go to water cooling but i'll stick with air for a little while longer.

Looks good for a first build man grats!

I would upgrade the fans to some high CFM fans to get the best airflow you can out of that case and your temps should stay lower that cpu cooler you have is a great cooler.

upgrade fans and GPUS. Also while your at it do some cable management, you dont necesarily have to start drilling holes, just zip tie sum cables for better air flow

Try and change the CPU cooler, a quad on a Zalman is pushing it, trust me I have one
Then a little cable management and you good to go
post #6 of 14
As has been said its a good build apart from the GPUs.
Also the cooler you have will possibly struggle cooling that quad once you start to go for a higher overclock. But if you stay at 3ghz those temps are fine.

Something like a Xigmatek rifle 120mm or a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme or a Noctua NH-U12P

Hi and WELCOME to OCN
A poll in this section won't get much response. This section is for Intro/Welcome and not for questions and answers.

BTW, nice build
