Will this graphics card fit my computer?

Hi all, I am thinking of buying a new graphics card for my HP Pavilion Build 6001, model: a6115.uk. I've found this site about my computer: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...&lang=en#N1001 and was wondering if this card would fit, GeForce 9600GT 650M 512MB DDR3 DUAL DVI TV PCI-E

If you could help would be much appreciated, thanks

That card should fit, and will be compatible. Might want to open up teh case and take some measurements (height wise) but I think you will be fine

The 9600GT isn't that big of a card, you should be able to fit it in. But I can't be sure without a screenie or something of the inside of your case.

Your MB has the required PCIe x16 slot, so as coffee has said, you'll likely have to take some measurements.
I pic of the inside of the case might help us speculate further though.

The 8800gt is 10-15% better than the 9600GT BTW. But it does cost more.

And if you want an 8800GT. They're hard to find. The 9800GT is the same exact thing.

If I can get a 9600GT into a Compaq case, you should be able to fit that in there.

The clamp placement of the RAM slots being extra-close to the path of the PCI-E slot worries me though. Check for height. And if it works, everytime you need to reseat your RAM, you'll have to take out your card. XD

The 256mb card isn't too great.

Btw can you take another shot, just pan out a bit so we can see the PCI slot area and the RAM area.

EDIT: this card would do -
