Heatsink and fan for $50 and under

Thread Starter
There are so many to choose from, is there an obvious choice?
It has to fit on a p5q pro motherboard and in an antec 900 case.

( I'd buy the bracket thing if I got this ^^ )

I might be leaning toward the tuniq tower since it looks so cool, but I'm wondering if these can even fit on my motherboard and in my case?

i vote for the Xigmatek HSF, can't go wrong for Priceerformance on it, and with that bracket, it'll make it that much more effective

The XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 is awesome for an E8400. I did not get the bolt kit and it works well without it, but I would definitely recommend getting the kit (pushpins FTL). I would not get the tuniq, the xiggy works just as well and does not put as much of a strain on the mobo.

Since you have an E8400 the Xigmatek is fine. Also throwing a 38mm fan on it will provide more direct airflow through the fins.

And get these:

The TRUE alone (without the fan) isn't under $50

I would grab an OCZ vendetta 2 and the xigmatek bolt thru kit (it works with the vendetta 2)

Or if you want to be unique, a Scythe Zipang is a pretty nice cooler
