Anyone Have HSF Suggestions For E6750

Thread Starter
I want to do some overclocking on the E6750 but I don't know which HSF I should be getting. Not looking to overclock it to break a world record.

I read a few posts here and found that these HSF are pretty good for their prices:
1.OCZ Vendetta 2
2.XIGMATEK HDT-S1283

I saw these at my local computer store in my price range(cheapest-expensive):
1.Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
2.OCZ Vendetta 2
3.Arctic Cooling Freezer XTREME

They didn't have the Xigmatek one.
Does any1 have suggestions?

What about a TRUE?

Go for the Vendetta 2 or the thermalright ultra 120 extreme.
The Xig will perform the same as the vendetta 2 but is often cheaper. The TRUE (thermalright ultra 12 extreme) will perform the best.

A little expensive and I think it won't fit in my case. I have a Coolermaster CM690.

Xigmatec HDT with the Bolt-on kit would be great.

Also, through personal experience with many machines and diffrent configs, a Tuniq Tower would be just as good, if not better.

And about the ones that you mentioned, the Vendetta 2 is a great cooler. It would pretty much match a TRUE on a dual core C2D.

The AC Freezer 7 Pro is not that great, although it is better than Intel's stock HSF, alot better. About the AC freezer Xtreme, I wouldn't touch that. There are better and cheaper HSF's out there.

Hope this helped!

Its when you use sandpaper to make the base of the heatsink as flat as can be so that there is 100% contact.

Oh, i see. Can this be done to the base of any HSF? also why isn't it already flat when it comes out of the factory? It's rough?
