The TRUE is better when lapped (and better still when a washer mod is used). If you don't want to lap it, then get teh noctua - which will not beat a lapped TRUE but will be comparible to a normal TRUE out of teh box.

I'm considering a TRUE for this build.

I'll probably be lapping it, but what washer mod are you talking about? I haven't seen anything about that.

Its a washer but the OP calls it a bearing

So I just bought the OCZ Vendetta 2. I want to ask about the thermal compound that is included, should I be using that??? haha

I have a video up on youtube if you want to see the HSF or the thermal compound.

I wouldn't use the included stuff if it is white. Get some arctic cooling MX-2 - its pretty much the best for DHT coolers IMO. Put a very thin line in the middle of each heat-pipe.

Ok thanks! that white stuff doesn't look reliable hahah. Just found out that white stuff is Silicon, and it oxidizes copper. Why would they supply something that harms their product????

The fan should spin all the time. It's not spinning at all? If not then something's wrong.
