Bolt-Thru-Kit Question

Thread Starter
Would using a Bolt-Thru-Kit to make a 775 heatsink work with a core i7 processor cool the same amount as a heatsink designed for 1366?

They are only made for LGA775 motherboards. You have to get a kit for a 1366 motherboard.

I think the question is:

Is a LGA775 cooler with a 1366 kit any less effective than a regular LGA1366 cooler?

I wouldn't think so....since most 775 Quad CPUs are about 200w OC'd, and i7s are about the same....I would think they could handle the job.
