The only way to possibly get something when bidding is if asia and europe have a massive blackout and you're bidding at 6 in the morining(someone1 get on this) but its much more likely you'll have the winning bid when it gets within dollars of the retail price.

I agree... But if you wait until it's within dollars of the retail price, why even bid. If its that close to the retail price, go out and buy the retail product.

Whoever thought up this scheme figured out the perfect way to take people's money hand over fist. I watched the site a while ago and saw how it worked, but I didnt know the bids cost money until this thread. It seemed like a cool auction format, but now that I know it costs money per bid, I wouldnt tough it with a 10 foot stick!
