UD3P is corssfire @ x8 x8, not much of a bottleneck.
The Ud3P is a beast at overclocking, several members dumped their X48 to this board because of it's incredible overclocking ability

Get the G.Skill 1066 with the promotion code for $50 instead: OCZ are bad @ MIR

Edit 2:
for 4870 1 Gig, I think it is better to get the sapphire custom cooler models, they are quieter and cooler and cooler (pun intended)

I would change out the HDD for this one:
Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

The performance on this drive is very impressive. The platter design is far better then those used in the 500 GB drive you are looking at.

That is an awesome build. You MIGHT want to get a different case like the Cooler Master CM690 because the A900, although it provides great cooling, is very unfriendly when it comes to installing and cable managing. There's like 16 screws for a single hard drive

Previously I would only have recommend the Q9550 over the Q6600. That being said, the 500+ FSB OC of the UD3P and the 7.5 multi of the Q9300 would still get you to 3.7GHz, so you might be right...
