p5q LLC problems, max voltage for q9550

Thread Starter
I've been running into some problems and i think it may be becuase I have Load Line Calibration on. I can get 10 hours stable in prime, then whilst leaving my pc on idle, it will get a bsod occasionaly. this could be down to prime95 being tested whilst at 1.344 volts, whereas during idle its only 1.320 or so. However ive been reading the following article, and although i don't understand it propperly, it says that LLC is a bad idea: http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets...i=3184&p=5

But.. if i disable LLC, then i have to set the bios at 1.4v, which gives me 1.368 idle, but only 1.32 load. And i had tested p95 10 hours at 1.344 load. So, in order to achive 1.344 load volts with LLC disabled.. ill need to crank the bios volts some more. But i'm worried that my idle voltage will be around 1.37-1.38 which is a bit over intels recommended guidelines. Or does it not matter that much because the temps won't be high idle?

So im thinking it's really a choice between dropping my oc to 3.7 and going for a lower load voltage, Or my preference is to have a higher idle voltage over the intel spec. But i don't really know how bad this will be (im still a novice).

Edit: I'm thinking of just turning LLC back on, and then my idle temps are above 1.344 if i set bios to 1.3750 but my load are 1.368 which is only slightly over. However.. ill do some more research into LLC and if it's bad, but i see a lot of 45nm p5q users have it on (more than don't).
